Childers Lawn Care & More

This Cookie Policy explains how Childers Lawn Care LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.childerslawncarellc.com (opens in new tab) (the “Website”). This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that may be stored on your browser or device when you visit a website. Cookies and similar technologies can be used to operate website features, remember preferences, understand website traffic, protect forms and website infrastructure, prevent fraud or abuse, and support third-party services.
Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags, server logs, device identifiers, and tracking scripts.
2. Types of Cookies and Technologies We Use
Strictly Necessary and Security Technologies
We use technologies that are reasonably necessary to operate, deliver, and secure the Website. These may support network delivery, website security, fraud and abuse prevention, bot or challenge detection, load balancing, and other functions required for the Website to operate securely.
The Website is hosted and delivered by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs as part of serving pages. Vercel does not set cookies on the Website for us.
Website forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people apart from automated software. Turnstile stores a small amount of data in your browser for the lifetime of the check and sends technical signals about your browser, along with your IP address, to Cloudflare. These technologies are strictly necessary: without them the contact form cannot accept a submission. Turnstile is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Functional Technologies
Functional technologies remember a choice or a state so the Website behaves sensibly on your next visit. We use exactly one, and it is not a cookie: a single entry in your browser’s local storage, named “childers-contact-last-sent”, holding the time you last submitted the contact form. It lets the form tell you how long to wait before sending another message instead of accepting a submission it would have to reject. It holds no name, contact details, or message content, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Analytics Technologies
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views, and Vercel Speed Insights to record how quickly pages load for real visitors. Neither sets cookies and neither stores a persistent identifier: a visitor is represented by a one-way hash of the incoming request that is reset every 24 hours, so the same person cannot be recognised the following day, or on any other website. No IP address is stored against a page view.
We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, or any other session-recording or profiling service. If that changes, this policy will be updated to describe it and any cookies it uses before or at the time it is introduced.
Marketing and Advertising Technologies
None. There is no Meta (Facebook) Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads conversion tag, TikTok Pixel, or any other advertising or remarketing technology on the Website. We do not build advertising audiences, run remarketing campaigns, or share Website activity with advertising networks.
The Facebook and Instagram post feeds described below are embedded content, not advertising technology. They display our own posts. Meta may still set its own cookies through them, which is why they are treated as non-essential.
Social Media Features
Our contact page embeds content from Facebook and Instagram so that recent posts can be viewed without leaving the Website. Those services are operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. Because the content is embedded rather than merely linked, Meta may set cookies or use similar technologies when it loads, and may receive information about your browser and device at that point.
These embeds do not load with the page. Both wait until you scroll far enough down the contact page to reach them. If you never scroll to that section, or never visit the contact page, Meta is not contacted and sets nothing. Reaching them does not require a click, however, so scrolling is enough to load them.
3. Cookies and Technologies Used on the Website
The technologies below reflect the Website configuration at the date of this policy. Exact cookies may vary based on browser settings, security conditions, provider configuration, and future Website updates.
| Name / Technology | Provider | Purpose | Typical Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| childers-contact-last-sent (browser local storage, not a cookie) | This Website | Records when you last submitted the contact form, so the form can show how long to wait before sending another. Holds a timestamp only — no name, contact details, or message content. Never transmitted anywhere. | Until you clear this Website’s site data in your browser | Strictly necessary / first-party |
| Cloudflare Turnstile (including cf_clearance when a security challenge is used) | Cloudflare, Inc. | Distinguishes people from automated software on Website forms. Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical browser signals when a form loads or is submitted. | Varies; cf_clearance is commonly about 30 minutes by default | Strictly necessary / third-party |
| Facebook and Instagram embedded content | Meta Platforms, Inc. | Displays recent social posts on the contact page. Meta may set its own cookies when the embedded content loads. | Set and controlled by Meta | Third-party |
The Website itself sets no cookies of any kind — the single first-party item above is browser local storage, not a cookie — and no advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies are used. Blocking third-party content in your browser will stop the social embeds from loading; every other part of the Website will continue to work.
4. Third-Party Technologies
Some technologies used by the Website are operated by third-party providers. Their information practices are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
- Vercel — website hosting, deployment, content delivery, server logs, and cookieless page-view and page-speed measurement.
- Cloudflare — the Turnstile check on Website forms. Cloudflare is not otherwise involved in delivering the Website.
- Yahoo — delivery of contact form submissions by email.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — Facebook and Instagram links and embedded content.
5. Cookie Consent and Preferences
The Website sets no cookies of its own, and shows no cookie banner, because there is nothing of ours to consent to. The functional local-storage item and the Turnstile form check described above are strictly necessary — the first remembers only when you last used the form, and without the second the contact form cannot accept a submission at all. Neither is used for tracking or advertising.
The Facebook and Instagram embeds are the one non-essential element on the Website. They are provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., may set third-party cookies, and currently load when you scroll to them on the contact page rather than after you have been asked. We do not receive or control those cookies.
You can prevent them in three ways: avoid scrolling to the social section of the contact page, block third-party cookies or content in your browser settings, or use a content-blocking extension. Every other part of the Website — including the contact form, the phone links, and all photography — works normally with third-party content fully blocked.
If you are visiting from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or another region whose law requires prior consent for non-essential cookies, and you would prefer that Meta content is not loaded at all, please block third-party content in your browser before visiting the contact page, or contact us using the phone number or email address at the end of this policy instead. If we introduce a consent control, this section will be updated to describe it.
6. Managing Cookies Through Your Browser
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking all cookies or scripts may affect Website functionality, security features, or third-party content.
7. Social-Media and Embedded Content
The Website links to and displays content from Facebook and Instagram. When embedded content loads, or when you choose to interact with those services, the provider may receive information about your interaction, browser, device, or account. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
8. Website Security Services
We use one Cloudflare service: Turnstile, which protects Website forms against automated submissions. When a form loads or is submitted, Cloudflare receives your Internet Protocol address together with technical information about your browser and device, and may store a small value in your browser for the lifetime of that check. Cloudflare is not otherwise involved in delivering this Website — hosting and content delivery are provided by Vercel — so Cloudflare is contacted only when you use a form, not on every page you view.
9. Analytics
The Website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages visitors find useful, and Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages load on real devices. No analytics cookies are set, because neither uses cookies at all.
Rather than storing an identifier on your device, it derives a one-way hash from the incoming request and discards it after 24 hours. The practical effect is that the same visitor cannot be recognised on a later day, cannot be recognised on any other website, and is never linked to a name, an email address, or a stored IP address. What we see is how many people viewed a page, not who they were.
This is a deliberate choice rather than a technicality. A conventional analytics product would have required a consent banner on every visit and would have shared Website activity with a third party for profiling. Counting visits without identifying people avoids both.
Our hosting and security providers generate standard server logs and aggregate request information — such as pages requested, referral source, approximate geographic area, browser and device information, and the date and time of requests — as part of delivering and protecting the Website.
10. No Targeted Advertising
We do not use the Website for targeted advertising, remarketing, or advertising-pixel tracking.
11. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when Website features, service providers, cookies, tracking technologies, or legal obligations change. The revised policy will be posted on the Website with an updated “Last Updated” date.
